JOB DESCRIPTION
FOR
TENTS AND EVENTS SUPERVISOR
The following is a description of the responsibilities for the position of tents and events supervisor:
Equipment:
Clean returned equipment.
When cleaning equipment, look for loose or missing fasteners, parts, etc.
Use appropriate cleaning method for each item.
Keep all rental equipment operating properly.
Return all rental equipment to its proper place in the warehouse.
Be sure that all equipment is stored with proper protection.

chairs in boxes or on dollies
help implement new ways to protect equipment
Be sure all equipment is “Ready to Rent”.
Assist with equipment repairs.
Notify supervisor of items returned damaged.
Customers:
Greet all customers cheerfully.
Assist customers in loading and unloading their vehicles.
Carefully count all returned equipment. Report any shortages to the operations manager.
File all contracts properly
Act as our representative to the customer on the job site.
Vehicles:
Complete vehicle check list weekly.
Keep vehicles clean both inside and out.
Inform operations manager of any problems with vehicles.
Assist in the accurate loading and unloading of vehicles.
Secure loads properly.
Physical Plant:
Maintain clean loading area and parking lot.
Report safety violations to safety manager.
Keep all equipment storage areas neat, clean and free of clutter.
Event Production:
Arrive at your report time wearing your company uniform.
Verify that vehicles are loaded with everything needed for the job.
Over see the squaring of the tent and marking stake locations.
Over see the unloading of the vehicles.
Over see the constructing and erecting of all tents, stages, dance floors, flooring, etc.
Over see the setting up of equipment such as tables and chairs if necessary.
Over see the knocking down of all equipment.
Be available for “on site” assignments during the events.
Leave all sites clean of debris, and looking better than when you arrived.
Work with event coordinators to sell jobs, assist in site inspections and act as contact person at job sites.
Supervise all tent and event personnel.
Maintain a high level of quality at all events by visiting random sites when possible.
Personnel:
Participate in the hiring and firing of all tent and event personnel.
Over see the training of all tent and event personnel.
Other:
Attend store and safety meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Communicate with supervisor.
Attend seminars and trade shows when possible.
