JOB DESCRIPTION
FOR
PARTY CONSULTANT
The following is a description of the responsibilities for the position of Party Consultant:
Administrative:
Write rental reservations, bids and contracts accurately and completely.
Understand in detail and be capable of using our rental software.
Maintain daily contract file.
Maintain daily reservation file.
Help train new counter personnel.
Update/Call overdue list daily.
Alert supervisor of overdue contracts.
Balance daily sales receipts.
Locate and accurately quote rental rates.
Answer incoming phone calls on the first or second ring when at all possible.
Inventory:
Know equipment, it’s application and required rental quantities.
Be able to recommend equipment for clients based upon their needs and the size of their event.
Arrange showroom displays.
Keep abreast of all new equipment.
Customer Service:
Greet customers cheerfully.
Handle customer complaints.
Answer customer equipment and event questions.
Instruct customers on equipment use when applicable.
Explain rates on contract to customers.
Other:
Maintain clean display area and work area.
Assume other employee responsibilities when required.
Attend store and safety meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned
